Why we use cookies

Conduit uses cookies and similar local storage mechanisms for two purposes: keeping you signed in to your workspace, and recognizing a visitor who clicked a referral link so a later conversion can be attributed to the right partner.

Authentication cookies

When you sign in, we store a session token so you don't have to log in on every page. These are essential to using the dashboard and creator portal.

Attribution cookies

When someone visits a /r/{code} referral link, we set a short-lived identifier so that a conversion happening later in the same browser can be linked back to that click. This identifier is hashed before storage and is not used for advertising.

This mechanism has limits: it does not work across devices, can be blocked by private browsing modes, and expires after the attribution window — see the docs for details.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may prevent you from staying signed in, and may prevent referral attribution from working correctly.
